Tower of Heads is an audiovisual sculpture developed through the design of experimental electronic image devices. The work consists of five modules that generate audiovisual forms using a holographic technique that enables the three-dimensional display of moving images.
The videos appear as luminous bodies trapped inside the devices—forms that viewers explore by moving around them, much like one would examine a physical sculpture.
The piece experiments with a visual system where the videos are presented more as sculptural objects than as traditional audiovisual narratives.
This system allows video to be shaped as a physical body, through the development of new devices or supports that give material form to emerging audiovisual languages using custom electronic designs.
